Perranporth Thunder proudly compete in the League 1 West division of the Cornwall Youth League. Formed in the 2021/22 season as a second team for the age group to support growing player numbers, the focus from day one was clear: give every player meaningful game time and the chance to thrive.

Since then, the team’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. Going from strength to strength, Perranporth Thunder are now the only team in this age group, united as a fiercely competitive, highly committed, and ambitious squad. Under the leadership of manager Dan Tommasi, who brings over 14 years of youth football experience, the team continues to grow, develop, and push new boundaries together.

Last season, the team enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Emirates Stadium to take part in a Play on the Pitch event, proudly scoring the first goal of the tournament in their age group. It was a truly special day for players, coaches, and families alike, building on the incredible experience of attending a similar event at Chelsea the previous year.

This season, excitement is already building as the team plans an end-of-season trip to Aston Villa, where they will enjoy an exclusive training session and stadium tour at one of English football’s most iconic clubs.
